Your school bag like everyone else

For over 25 years, nearly 300 children a year have benefited from the “Your school bag like everyone else” program. This allows them to start the year with everything they need.

Over the years, the program has been constantly improved. Today, children from disadvantaged backgrounds start their year with a backpack, lunch box, running shoes, winter boots, snowsuit, hat, neck warmer and mittens. It is important to note that all the equipment donated is new and trendy. In addition, $50 is allocated for generic school supplies and $50 for classroom materials.

In 2021, the program is getting even better! Students will also receive a fall coat and a thermos.

Ton sac d’école comme tout le monde is our largest program to date.

To help the region’s youth

I’m making winning connections

This program aims to offer parents adapted services and activities (individual follow-up, group activities, collective activities, parent support, and many others) to help them develop responsible behaviors regarding their children’s needs.

A collaboration among the Centre Jeunesse Montérégie, CISSS-MO, FEVS and the Maison de la Famille de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

Emergency food service

In the context of the pandemic, the closure of schools resulted in many children not having access to the Lunch Club program. The Foundation decided to provide affected families with grocery baskets including food and hygienic products. We continue to help these families who are struggling with this reality.

Food for pregnant teens (OLO)

The FEVS supports, through the purchase of egg, milk and orange juice coupons, the Eggs, Milk, Orange (OeufsLaitOrange, OLO) program of the CLSC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. This program, offered to pregnant women living in poverty, contributes annually to more than one hundred families in the region to welcome a healthy baby. The delivery of OLO coupons, as part of a personalized follow-up by the workers of the Family-Childhood team, is a concrete way to support the optimal development of children.

Diner’s club

Students not having access to meals and snacks is an increasingly common reality in our region. As the learning difficulties associated with this reality have long been demonstrated, the Foundation provides financial support to schools that wish to implement a structured nutrition program for their students.

I donate

Your donation makes a difference!

There’s an old saying that it takes a village to raise a child. At the Children’s Foundation of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, we believe that joining forces is an important source of change in our community. The FEVS supports prevention efforts to ensure that all children in our region have the right to dream and succeed. Let’s not underestimate the importance of giving. Together, let’s help children become.

Giving is receiving.
Our children are our future.
